Accountant Qualification Summary

Accountant qualification summary is like any other qualification summary. It highlights in brief, the most important skills, and other qualities of the accountant such as his or her accomplishments, experience, past performance, qualifications, and career path. The object is to give a glimpse of the capabilities of the person without forcing the hiring authority to read the entire resume. Such resumes need to be compelling enough to interest the person looking to hire an accountant. It should cover in approximately 45 words relevant information such as CPA job summary or bookkeeper job summary as the case may be.

Accountant summary includes Public Accountant Qualification Summary, CPA Qualification Summary, or Certified Public Accountant Qualification Summary, and Bookkeeper Qualification Summary. There are differences in accountant qualifications. Therefore, CPA qualifications are considerably different from bookkeeper qualifications. Consequently CPA summary should not fail to emphasize additional skill set such as taxation, and audits, apart from CPA qualifications.

Even if it is a comprehensive program, there may be some data entry errors or wrong way of writing voucher that has to be corrected. Likewise, accountants also need to analyze whether or not the business enterprise or the organization that they are working for is earning profits and ensure that it continues to do so at the same rate or higher rate. There is difference between cash flows and profit and loss. Accounting software programs can only generate information. The accountant has to analyze and generate required cash flows by taking appropriate measures in time.

Accountants and bookkeepers need to furnish their resumes when they apply for any job. In the past, resumes started with the name of the candidate, followed by their contact address, qualifications, and experience. The candidates would finally mention the emoluments drawn, and emoluments expected. Somewhere in between all this would be the special achievements of the person. Invariably job applicants wrote more about their achievements and functions to impress the prospective employer. But there was no specific location where such information was present. This meant that the person who was recruiting any accountants had to read the entire resume and remember the content. This is the major drawback of traditional resumes. The person hiring does not have much time on hand to read the resume once again at the time of interview and then question the candidate.

Moreover, there are many such resumes. It can happen that the person hiring forgets crucial part in some resume, or presumes that he or she read that part in another resume. Because of such drawbacks, this traditional way of preparing resumes has been abandoned. Instead, a new method has been introduced. In this, a summary or precis of the resume content is presented on the top. Therefore accountant summary would include details such as Accountant qualification summary, job summary, and other achievements of the accountant.

Accountant, however, may be a bookkeeper, a CPA (Certified Public Accountant), a graduate in accounting, etc. Though all these professions are related to accounts, the skill set associated with each of these accountant qualifications is different.
